50 posts!! I started this blog four months after my husband left me. I post pretty much every other day – and this is my 50th post.
I’ve posted about how I’ve coped with the finances (Renting a Room, Selling the Jag, Rubber Chicken, Husbanding my Resources), and how I’ve started to find out who I am now, and what I want, what I really really want (It’s OK to be Happy, Physically Fit at 58, Not Just a Number).
I’ve passed on a little bit of advice – genuine advice, from what I’ve learnt myself, not from what I’ve copied from someone else’s list somewhere else on the internet – keeping cool, going solo, looking after your car.
I made it to number 12 in Feedspot’s ‘Top 20 Blogs for Women over 50 to follow in 2019’!!
And I’ve saved a lot of money on therapy.
So – what about the next 50 posts??
Well, I’ve no idea. This blog has always been about finding my way after my husband left the marriage – and I still don’t know what the hell happens next.
I’m off to volunteer for the National Trust at CountryFile Live this weekend, so that will become a blog post – it’s my last volunteering before I start the new job, so definitely going out with a bang!
I’ll be starting my new job as a Kitchen Designer next week, so that’ll deserve a mention when the time comes.
Some of my lovely Followers have asked me to write a bit more about my life at sea – the last post only got as far as leaving European waters, so we need to revisit that and get to Panama and beyond.
When I started this blog, I really didn’t know if I would be able to keep it up – would I have enough to write about, would anyone be interested, would I even be bothered to do it day after day? Well – so far so good. Many people have been interested (3300 views in July), and with a bit of forward planning and a lot of ‘just get on with it woman’, I’ve pretty much kept to my posting schedule. And I haven’t run out of things to write.
What do you think? What have I missed? What should I write about next?
